Grand Prix Volleyball

Grand Prix Volleyball (GPV) brings a new competition format to Queensland – semi-regular rounds played over a weekend, with each team playing multiple games per round. Typically, each team plays 9-12 matches across three weekend rounds spread three-four weeks apart. It allows clubs and teams to plan an alternative indoor volleyball season around a series of weekend tournaments.

2019 Grand Prix Volleyball

Dates: 18 – 19 May 2019 / 29 June – 30 June 2019 / 20 – 21 July 2019
Divisions: Open
Price: $795 per team
Venues: Various
Membership: All athletes must be current, recrealtional level financial member of VQ

Format Details

Each team plays 3-4 matches
Best of five sets format (no time limit)
Set 1-4 to 25 points with a two-point advantage
Set 5 to 15 points with a two-point advantage

Nomination Process

There is a two step process to nominate a team to complete in Grand Prix Volleyball:

Complete the online nomination form.
Request access to Affiliates Online (AOL)*.
Submit team lists using AOL (a team list is required for each team nominated).
