VQ Schools Sub-Committee

The purpose of the VQ Schools Sub-Committee is to provide advice and recommendations to the VQ Board of Management on all school volleyball activities throughout Queensland.

There are three broad areas comprising the Sub-Committee’s Terms of Reference:

  • Advice and development of school volleyball
  • Review of, and recommendations on, school volleyball competitions
  • Teacher and student coaching and refereeing accreditations

Members serve on the VQ Schools Sub-Committee for two years, with an annual rotation of 50% of members. Outgoing members are eligible to stand for reappointment, with appointments made by the VQ Board of Management.

The Sub-Committee reports to the Volleyball Queensland Board of Management (Board) through the Chairperson.

Those seeking to join the VQ Schools Sub-Committee are encouraged to review the Terms of Reference. Applicants must be VQ members and hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

Queensland Volleyball Referees Commission (QVRC)

The purpose of the QVRC is to:

  • Promote and drive referee recruitment, development, and retention in Queensland across both beach and indoor volleyball
  • Engage senior and retired Queensland officials in activities that identify and increase referee participation, from social to elite levels

Members serve on the QVRC for two years, with an annual rotation of 50% of members. Outgoing members are eligible to stand for reappointment, with appointments made by the VQ Board of Management.

The Committee reports to the Volleyball Queensland Board of Management (Board) through the Chairperson.

Those seeking to join the QVRC are encouraged to review the Terms of Reference. Applicants must be VQ members, experienced match officials, and hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

Queensland Beach Volleyball Committee

The purpose of the Queensland Beach Volleyball Committee is to:

  • Support, promote, and drive the development and retention of beach volleyball in Queensland
  • Act as a communication conduit and sounding board between the Queensland beach volleyball community (including players, promoters, coaches, and referees) and Volleyball Queensland

Members serve on the Queensland Beach Volleyball Committee for two years, with an annual rotation of 50% of members. Outgoing members are eligible to stand for reappointment, with appointments made by the VQ Board of Management.

The Committee reports to the Volleyball Queensland Board of Management (Board) through the Chairperson.

Those seeking to join the Queensland Beach Volleyball Committee are encouraged to review the Terms of Reference. Applicants must be VQ members, have a background in beach volleyball across its various facets, and hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
