Each year, VQ plays host to volleyball associations and clubs from across QLD as they battle it out for the most prestigious volleyball trophy in the state. Despite operating under Covid-safe measures, this year was no different. In fact, it was bigger and better than ever before, with a record 108 teams competing for top honours.
Held at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre from 03-05 October, this was the first year the QLD State Championships ran over three days and also included U15, U17, and U19 divisions, as well as the mainstays – Championship, Division 1, and Division 2.
After a long weekend of tough but exciting competition, the South Brisbane Wolves became Club Champions for 2020.
Volleyball Queensland extends its congratulations to all who participated and would also like to thanks all the players, spectators, and officials for complying with our Covid-19 health and safety measures.
More information, including results, can be found at the QLD State Championships webpage.
