Congratulations to Australia’s Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Taliqua Clancy on being crowned champions at the 2018 Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships held in Satun, Thailand from 25-28 September 2018.
The formidable pair took out the gold medal match defeating China’s Wang Fan and Chen Xue 2-1 (21:17, 19:21, 15:9).
This is the first time Artacho del Solar and Clancy has been crowned Asian Champions. Queensland’s Clancy sealed her 4th Asian Championships gold (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018) with Artacho del Solar securing her first gold medal at this tournament.
Volleyball Queensland sends its congratulations to the pair and wishes them continued success for the remainder of 2018.
