Volleyball Queensland is pleased to announce the appointment of Madeleine to its Board.
Madeleine brings over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and communications, including more than a decade as Director of Marketing & Communications at King’s College, The University of Queensland. Her professional expertise spans strategic communications, brand development, governance, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of high-profile events and fundraising initiatives.
A passionate advocate for the power of sport to build community and promote wellbeing, Madeleine has extensive experience in collegiate sport administration. During her time at King’s College, she managed rugby and rowing operations, leading the Boat Club to become the first Australian college to compete in the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta. She also coordinated The University of Queensland Inter-College Rowing Program, overseeing more than 230 athletes and delivering three major regattas, while supporting volleyball and other inter-college sports to broaden participation.
Madeleine’s commitment to inclusive and safe sporting environments is underpinned by her Mental Health First Aid certification and her leadership during the College’s transition to co-residency, ensuring facilities and governance frameworks supported a safe and seamless change.
Madeleine’s current role is in sales at RetireAustralia, where she works closely with prospective residents and their families to guide them through the transition into retirement living communities.
With Queensland preparing for the opportunities presented by the 2032 Olympic Games, Madeleine looks forward to contributing her strategic insight and collaborative leadership to strengthen pathways from grassroots to elite volleyball, support regional growth, and foster thriving sporting communities across the state.
