This year, Primary School Cup (PSC) was spectacular for participants and organisers alike with Craigslea State High School yet again providing a fantastic venue to host this calendar event.
Primary Schools Cup was held on Thursday 23, August 2018 with 19 schools attending from across Southern Queensland to participate from Years 4/5 and Year 6 in both boys and girls divisions.
Damien Searle, VQ’s Events Manager, was impressed with the display from all involved saying, “for me, Primary Schools Cup is the highlight of the Volleyball Queensland event calendar. To see so many young volleyballers – some of whom are playing their very first volleyball tournament – enjoying themselves, it re-energises not just me as Event Manager, but also the whole Volleyball Queensland team”.
Damien also expressed his appreciation for the Craigslea SHS staff and students who made this day possible, continuing, “I would also like to pass on my thanks to the Craigslea Volleyball Academy staff, students, and parents who provided invaluable help to make the day run smoothly”.
Volleyball Queensland would like to congratulate all athletes and staff who participated in this year’s PSC, especially Bellevue Park State School who were named Champion School for 2018.
Visit the PSC page for the full 2018 results.
The 2019 Primary Schools Cup will be held on Thursday, 22 August 2019, with VQ looking forward to welcoming new schools to experience the fun and excitement of volleyball.
The next Schools Cup event, Junior Schools Cup (JSC), takes place on the Gold Coast from 19-21 October. Check the JSC page for further information.
