In March this year, Volleyball Queensland held its first Regional Development Camp.
Travelling to Proserpine, this camp focused on developing the skills of officials and athletes alike, hosting an officiating course and a Junior Pirates Camp.
Patti McIntosh, VQ’s Member Services Coordinator, is excited by the success of this camp and is eager to strengthen VQ’s relationships and increase participation in regional QLD. “Volleyball QLD has a large geographical area to cover, and urban-centric projects can easily pull focus. VQ’s Regional Development Camps are an essential component of overcoming this and growing our relationships with regional members and reflect the enthusiasm for volleyball in these areas”.
Following the success of this first Regional Development Camp, VQ has plans to expand this roster with camps for Mackay and Maryborough currently in development.
If you would like a Regional Development Camp in your area, please contact our Member Services Coordinator.
