Volleyball Queensland is pleased to welcome Fraser Coast Volleyball Collective (FCVC) as an official affiliate, following a highly successful first year of operation.
Based in Hervey Bay, FCVC was established in 2025 with a focus on growing beach volleyball participation across the Fraser Coast, while creating clear pathways from social play through to competitive opportunities.
The club operates across two key areas:
Community Participation: Regular, safe, and inclusive beach volleyball sessions delivered in partnership with local stakeholders, providing opportunities for both new and experienced players.
Events and Pathways: Delivery and promotion of key events including Bay Beach Battle, Coastal Clash, and QBVT Hervey Bay, the largest regional state event of 2026, alongside initiatives such as open days, social competitions, and community engagement activities.
Since launching, FCVC has experienced rapid growth, establishing a strong social media presence and building participation levels comparable to long-standing organisations in the region. The club has also developed strong partnerships with Fraser Coast Regional Council, Hervey Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, and a range of local businesses, ensuring all activities are safe, compliant, and positioned for long-term growth.
Looking ahead, FCVC is set to expand its flagship Bay Beach Battle event in 2026 to include Bundaberg, Agnes Water, and Rockhampton, further strengthening regional volleyball opportunities across Central Queensland.
