Volleyball Queensland is excited to announce Apex Volleyball Club as a new Affiliate member in 2023!
Apex Volleyball Club focuses on two aspects; one being a social club which allows anyone from the extended community to join our social league to try out volleyball and learn the game in our general training. The other aspect is facilitating, training and developing senior competitive players to compete at competitions and leagues such as the Premier Volleyball League, Metro League and State Championships.
Apex Volleyball Club are currently playing weekly at Somerville House Aquatic Centre as well as Griffith Mt Gravatt Recreational Hall, and host both training, social and tournaments at both these locations. This organisation intends to compete in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.
Stanley Liu, President of Apex Volleyball Club, said:
“We are extremely excited to be affiliated with Volleyball Queensland for our future activities! Starting from just a small group of friends with a great passion for volleyball back in 2019, to now having over 600 social members, it was only a matter of time before we took this step to make Apex Volleyball Club official! With the help and support of VQ, we hope to continue to provide friendly and welcoming sessions for our social players. At the same time, we will be taking a huge step up in the competitive scene, as we finally have the chance to provide our players with the opportunity to represent Apex in the various Volleyball Queensland leagues and tournaments. We look forward to working with VQ and can’t wait to see how the future unfolds.”
Gary O’Donnell, General Manager at Volleyball Queensland, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Apex Volleyball Club to the Volleyball Queensland family. We are excited to be working alongside this newly emerging club and we would like to take this opportunity to wish Stanley and his team the very best of luck for the remainder of 2023 and beyond.”
We are looking forward to working with Apex Volleyball Club and invite the wider Volleyball Queensland community to make them feel welcome.
