Volleyball Queensland is pleased to welcome Gladiators Volleyball Club as a new affiliate.
Gladiators Volleyball Club, based on the Gold Coast, was founded in 2025 with the vision of building a strong, inclusive volleyball community while developing athletes to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
The club operates across two key areas:
- Social Volleyball: Open sessions designed for players of all experience levels, creating an accessible and engaging environment for those new to the sport as well as those returning or playing recreationally.
- Competitive Pathways: Structured training programs and team development aimed at preparing athletes for high-level competition, including State Championships and the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
Since launching, Gladiators has experienced rapid growth, expanding from initial sessions of 20–25 players to consistently hosting 40–60 participants per session. In 2025, the club entered two teams into the Queensland State Championships, with both teams securing bronze medals in Division 1 and Premier divisions.
Looking ahead, 2026 marks Gladiators’ first official PVL season, with two men’s teams competing in Division 1 and Division 2. The club is committed to long-term athlete development, strong club culture, and continued growth within the Queensland volleyball community.
