VQ WELCOMES MORETON BAY MANTAS VOLLEYBALL CLUB

Volleyball Queensland is excited to announce Moreton Bay Mantas Volleyball Club as a new Affiliate member in 2026.

Moreton Bay Mantas Volleyball Club is a rapidly growing club based in the Moreton Bay region, focused on providing clear pathways for players of all ages and abilities.

The club delivers a strong mix of social and competitive volleyball opportunities, catering to over 100 PVL athletes and more than 140 players in its social competitions, with a strong emphasis on youth development.

MBVC operates across multiple venues, including Mango Hill State Secondary College, Caboolture State High School, PCYC Deception Bay, and Strathpine Indoor Sports, offering indoor and beach volleyball programs. The club is committed to building long-term athlete development through structured training, competitive teams, and accessible entry points for new players.

With over 50% of its athletes in junior programs, MBVC is focused on growing the game locally while creating opportunities beyond the U15 level and supporting players to progress into senior competition. The club is aiming to be highly competitive in the Premier Volleyball League and other state competitions, while maintaining a strong, inclusive community culture.

John Molloy, President of Moreton Bay Mantas Volleyball Club, said:

“The move to Moreton Bay Mantas represents an exciting new chapter for our club. Our focus is on building sustainable pathways for players, from their first introduction to volleyball right through to high-performance competition. We’re passionate about creating opportunities for our athletes and growing volleyball across the Moreton Bay region, and we’re looking forward to working closely with Volleyball Queensland as we continue to expand.”

Volleyball Queensland looks forward to working with Moreton Bay Mantas Volleyball Club and welcomes them to the VQ community.
