Held annually, Volleyball Queensland’s State Championships brings together volleyball associations and clubs from across Queensland. The event features two separate tournaments: the Junior State Championships and the Senior State Championships, providing a platform for athletes of all ages to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.
Teams vie for two of the state’s top titles – the VQ State Championships and the VQ President’s Shield, awarded to the best-performing association or club across all divisions. Each tournament features multiple divisions, ensuring a competitive yet accessible environment for all skill levels.
This exciting event draws volleyball enthusiasts from across the state, featuring intense competition and showcasing the best of the sport.

2025 Queensland Senior State Championships
Date: 4-6 October 2025
Divisions:
Divisions are offered in both mens and womens
- Championship Division (*Championship division is only open to VQ affiliated clubs and associations)
- Challenger Division
- Division 1
- Division 2
- Division 3
*Entries are capped at 2 teams per Division, except championship division (1 team only)
Prices: $885 + $200 (Refundable Bond) per team – Bond will be refunded once all commitments have been met (games and duties)
Location: Coomera Indoor Sports Centre (CISC), Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium (RBIS), A.B Paterson College
Membership: All athletes must be current financial members of VQ
Player Clearance: A player clearance allows your current club to grant permission for you to play with a different club during the 2025 Volleyball Queensland State Championships.
